An Introvert’s Response to “How’s life?”

As an introvert, small talk is painful. Seriously. People always ask me “How’s life?” and want to chit chat about what’s going on. It can be hard sometimes, so I figured a survey with all those questions would sum it all up nicely. So, for those who keep asking how life is, this is how it is.

How life is going:

Life is pretty good.

What I loved about the past week:

Last week was a pretty good week. There wasn’t much homework due, so I was able to get stuff done around the house and not feel like I was going crazy. I exercised a lot and that always makes me feel good, too.

My plans for this week:

This week is going to be a bit crazy. I have a ton of math due and we all know that takes me forever. I also have an Environmental Science test on Friday, so I have to study for that, and I have a quiz on Wednesday along with a quiz on Saturday and a bunch of Art History work. *sigh* So glad next week is Spring Break.

What I’m looking forward to:

Spring Break! lol. Though, it’s not going to be as relaxing as I’d like. I have an Environmental Science field trip the week after and am going to spend a few days before and after visiting my family, so I am going to do as much homework during Spring Break as I can.

What I’m nervous about:

My test. I’m not a good test taker AT ALL. Once I’ve finished the 5,000 math assignments on Tuesday, I can focus a bit more on the test. I got a B on the last one, so I have some improving to do.

What I’ve been daydreaming about:

Spring. I really miss being able to do my homework outside. Last year I would set up on the back porch and study outside when it was nice. I’m very much ready for it to be warm enough for me to do that. And it almost is!

How school is going:

Not too bad. I have A’s in all of my classes except math, but my math grade has been coming up. I don’t think it will be an A by the end of the semester, but if my some miracle I ace a test, then it could be!

How my running is going:

I’m still in the walking/jogging phase. We haven’t been pushing too hard with it, just enjoying being outside. But I guess that’s not too bad because it’s only been a few weeks since I decided I was going to do it.

What book I’m reading:

Divergent! I got the audiobook from the library  on Monday and I’m halfway through CD 9 right now. Only one CD left! It’s a pretty good book. The movie goes in line with it mostly well. It was actually really close until CD 9. That’s when things started getting pretty different. Oh well. At least it follows a lot closer than The Bourne Identity or The Count of Monte Cristo.

What I did this weekend:

This weekend was pretty slow. I did homework for a few hours Saturday morning and then Troy and I spent a few hours cleaning up the yard. He was still pretty worn out from his all-day trip from North Carolina to Portland on Thursday (he didn’t arrive until 9:30 and then we had to drive an hour home), so he just wanted to take it easy. So, we did. It was a nice and leisurely day. Sunday was pretty much the same. Church, then I went on a walk to enjoy the warmth and sunshine, then I went to a church committee meeting for the activity we are having on the 12th and then just relaxed the rest of the day. It was nice. I like relaxed weekends.

What else is new:

Not much. I had to get a new Fitbit a few weeks ago (mine quit working) and the new one has been working great. Even with the first one being a dud, I still really love it. Definitely keeps me motivated and helps me stay on track.

Well, I guess that’s it for my thoughts about this upcoming week. It’s going to be a good week, test and all!

Is there anything you’re looking forward to this week?

Thanks! I thought it would be a good way, too. I have a hard time talking to people sometimes, but I can type for forever, so I figured this would work. And, thank you, I need all the luck I can get!
