Well, we have some bad news. 🙁 The Navy might not let us have enough leave to do all the stuff we want to before reporting to OK. They might only let us take 15 days instead of 30 like we were originally told. Caleb applied for 30 days, so we’re hoping they’ll give it to us, but we’re not counting on it. Sooooo, that means we won’t have enough time to visit Utah before going to OK.
We’d be able to go home for Christmas, but that’s the soonest we’d be able to go home. I’d rather go home for Thanksgiving, but Caleb is 100% set on Christmas. 🙁 I really want to spend Christmas without the hassle of visiting all three families. It’s stressful enough trying to make everyone feel like we’re spending enough time with them on a regular visit. Christmas is even more stressful because everyone wants us there at the exact same time.
Oh well. We’ll see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed that we get the 30 days. We wouldn’t be able to go anywhere for at least 9 months if we get the 30 days, but we knew that when we requested the 30 days.
