Lunch

Today has been nice so far. I slept until 11:00am, which is not such a good idea if I’m going to be trying to fall asleep earlier. But I figure it’s okay because yesterday was my first day of physical therapy and it wore me out. I was there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. That’s a long time to be doing exercises that I’ve never done before. The one that made me feel the worst was when they strapped me into a weight suspension belt and partially suspended me over a treadmill. It squished me so tight it hurt my hips, but after walking for a few minutes it shifted up a bit and got off my hips. That was good and bad. My hips didn’t hurt anymore, but it squished my stomach so much I started feeling nausious. And lightheaded. When my 15 minutes were up, my physical therapist had me lay down while he did some neck extension stuff on me. I’m definitely going to be in shape after a few weeks of this. lol. I was so exhausted when I got home that I just wanted to take a nap, but I didn’t so I would sleep last night. And, yes, I slept last night. lol.

After I woke up, I slowly started tidying up the house. Kadie trashed the house (again) while I was at physical therapy yesterday, but I had some errands to run, so I didn’t get it cleaned up yesterday. Plus, the vacuum was in the garage downstairs from when Caleb vacuumed the car on Saturday and it’s too hard for me to get it up the stairs. Since Caleb forgot to bring it upstairs last night, he said he’d do it today.

Well, I was in the middle of putting the house back together when Caleb sent me a text saying he was coming home for lunch. Yay! I love it when he comes home for lunch. The more time I get to spend with him, the better. It was nice to sit and relax with him, even if it was only for 20 minutes. He only gets an hour for lunch and it takes 15-20 minutes for him to get to and from work. So, he could only stay for 20 minutes. Luckily, the steaks and asparagus were ready when he got home, so we didn’t have to spend a lot of time waiting on them. He took Kadie potty while I set the table and then we enjoyed lunch.

Another bonus was that he brought the vacuum upstairs and told me it was to stay in place until he got home and he would clean up the mess the dog made. Yay! I normally have to ask him to clean it up, but this time he said he wanted to do it because she made such a huge mess this time. She somehow got a bag of pine nuts off the table, shredded the bag and chewed pine nuts all over the dining room and entryway. Luckily, I put up a barricade to keep her out of the living room, so that was safe. I was worried about my scrapbooking stuff on the coffee table, so I made it so she couldn’t get to it. She also shredded toilet paper (she really loves to chew on toilet paper, for some strange reason), so it kinda looks like snow all over the floor. One thing I was really unhappy about was that she knocked over the candle warmer that my sister gave us for Christmas. It was up on the bar, so the only guess we have as to how she got it down is that she was chewing on the cord or that she was trying to jump up on the bar. At least it didn’t break.

So, Caleb is going to clean it up. That just leaves finishing folding laundry and washing the bedsheets. We mopped all the floors last night (it’s nice when Kadie pees on the tile. so much easier to clean than the carpet. lol), so that takes one of the things I was going to do today. Caleb mopped the kitchen floor and I decided that we might as well do the rest since the bucket was full. So I did the bathroom and the entryway. I love having clean floors. It makes everything seem so much nicer. lol.

Anyways, I’d better get working on stuff. Caleb will be off work in two and a half hours and if he doesn’t stop to pick up new uniforms, he’ll be home 20-30 minutes after that. If he does decide to stop and pick up some new uniforms, he also said he’d pick up some ingredients I need to make the new recipe on my recipe blog. How sweet is that? My mom always tells me what a wonderful husband I have. I agree. He is such a sweet and loving person. The only thing that would make him more perfect is if he would clean up after himself more. But I hear that’s a guy thing and it takes time to train them. lol. I still love him, though. He’s a wonderful man and I wouldn’t trade him for anything.
